Gestern wurde in Berlin, das Logo der Fifa WM 2010 in Südafrika vorgestellt. Entworfen wurde die Bildmarke von Gabriel da Abreu. Ein Jahr lang ging der Wettbewerb um das beste Logo. Das Logo zeigt einen schwarzen Spieler, der einen Fallrückzieher macht. Die Afrikaner verzichteten im Gegensatz zum Fifa WM2006 Logo – auf die „Happypeople-Stimmung“, die hier in Deutschland heftige Diskussionen auslösste.
Albie Sachs, Vorsitzender des 6-köpfigen Entscheidungs-Gremiums sagte in einem Interview zum Logo:
“We wanted a human being, we wanted the African continent. This had to be an emblem that signifies where the competition is going to take place and the emotions that were going to be released.
“This is a continent of pain but it is also a con intent of song, of sensibility, spirituality of movement and a tremendous love for the game of football,”

naja… besser als das deutsche ist es alle mal. Hat auf jeden fall etwas mit fussball zu tun. Was beim deutschen leider nicht der fall ist.
